Nostalgia is like a grammar lesson: you find the present tense, but the past perfect!  Owens Lee Pomeroy

Questions to help you grow

What do you think about when you hear a song from your late teen, early adult days?

The Word has power

These days would be remembered and kept from generation to generation and celebrated by every family throughout the provinces and cities of the empire. (Est. 9:28a; NLT)

Story

Those who know me know that I'm not one prone to a lot of reminiscing, much to Sharon's chagrin. But I do like a lot of the "oldies" music. I really enjoyed the folk music era and do miss some of the folk greats like Joan Baez (or is it Biaz?), The Smothers Brothers, et al.

Our friend Cheryl Thomas sent the link that you'll find below. I just couldn't resist. After all, I graduated from high school in 1961, so this was my era.

I'm certainly not one to look back and say, "Those were the good old days." While we most assuredly have some major challenges surrounding us right now, I wouldn't want to go back to any of my yesterdays. But I do miss some of that old music.

If you're a product of the 60's, then reminisce with me and enjoy it. If you're not, then humor me and love me anyway while I reminisce. Have a fantastic weekend!

Prayer Power

Lord, thank You for our memories. Thank You that it seems that we were designed to remember the good and forget much of the bad. Thank you for the privilege of just being alive on May day, 2008!
