• First, we start with a complementary coaching session. We’ll look at where you are right now with regard to your health and nutrition and where you think you might like to go. The purpose of this session is to find out if coaching is for you and to mutually explore the benefits of an ongoing coaching relationship. You have nothing to lose. Coaching is not something I sell you on. It’s something you understand and invest in because you want it and you instinctively know it will benefit you. If we decide to continue, I will ask you to make a three-month (or six sessions) commitment to our coaching relationship. • During the first sessions, we’ll look at your current dietary habits, past and present medical history, and current illness or pain challenges you may be having. I’ll assess your current health status to get a better understanding of how and where to begin. We’ll also look at issues that YOU desire to address as well. • I’ll provide a list of resources and references that you can purchase and read to begin educating yourself. Together we’ll develop a growth plan for how you can make the desired changes over the next three months or so. Initially, we’ll look at the little things that you can quickly integrate into your new lifestyle so that you have the “taste” of success. • I’ll also coach you in more pragmatic ways such as providing recipes, suggesting certain brands of foods to buy (and avoid), as well as where you might purchase them. • We’ll also look at current exercise habits (or lack thereof) and address how you can become successful and consistent with exercise that benefits YOU. • Finally, through regular calls, as your coach I’m there to stand by your side, help you stay focused, keep you accountable on implementing your plan, and most of all, be an encouragement to you as you work through the plan. |
